Windy weather - Windiges Wetter

Back from my trip to Egypt, I'm refreshing my blog :-) As promised, but without the many photos I hoped to take. The weather was very windy, so I wasn't able to wear my knitted projects in the evening: my varying types of shrugs on the top of my dresses. Besides I didn't kept in mind, that I had to take the photos in the darkness. The results weren't as good as hoped. So I wait for the very spring here in Germany and will do a photo-session with friends. Like a prêt-à-porter show - lol

Zurück aus Ägypten aktualisiere ich meinen Blog :-) Wie versprochen, aber ohne die vielen erhofften Fotos. Unser Wetter war sehr windig, somit konnte ich leider nicht meine Stricksachen am Abend tragen: die verschiedenen Shrugs über meinen Kleidern. Außerdem hatte ich nicht bedacht, dass ich die Fotos in der Dunkelheit habe machen müssen. Die Ergebnisse waren leider nicht so gut wie erhofft. So warte ich denn endlich den deutschen Frühling ab und werde eine Fotos-Session mit Freunden halten. Wie eine Prêt-à-porter Show - lol

But I rather knitted a lot. Haruni is nearly finished. I was out in my estimation of the needed time to knit this shawl, perhaps it was my first shawl project. I had some difficulties in the beginning but after a day an some pattern repetitions I caught on to it. But now I have a new problem. Six rows are left (plus the bind-off) but I only have enough yarn for three or four rows... At our next knitting-café I will ask the other girls, if they have some yarn left. I don't want to buy another Zauberball only for these few rows.

Dafür habe ich eine Menge gestrickt. Haruni ist fast fertig. Ich habe mich ein bisschen in der Zeit verschätzt, die ich für das Tuch brauche, vielleicht weil es mein erstes Projekt war. Am Anfang hatte ich ein paar Schwierigkeiten, aber nach einem Tag und ein paar Mustersätzen hatte ich es dann kapiert. Nun habe ich ein neues Problem. Noch sechs Reihen zu stricken (plus dem Abketten), ich habe aber nur noch Garn für drei oder vier Reihen übrig... Beim nächsten Strickcafé werde ich die anderen Mädels fragen, ob sie noch etwas Garn übrig haben. Ich möchte nicht noch einen ganzen Zauberball für diese paar Reihen nachkaufen.

I can't belive it, but I love knittng shawls. As I restarted knitting a year ago, I had no attitudes to shawl-knitting. I always thougt: Why are so many knitters appealed to shawl-knitting. Shawls are somewhat for old ladies :-) But over the time I saw handknitted shawls, feeled amazing Laceyarn between my fingers and my opinion began to change. And now I'm an "old lady" by myself.

A day before my departure I got in contact with a new Laceyarn at Beate's Wollknäuel. Filigran by Zitron. Lovely colours and soft texture - it ended in a three-skein-purchase. With the turquoise dye I will cast on another Haruni, it will look amazing on the top of my white summer dress.

Ich kann's kaum glauben, aber ich liebe es Tücher zu stricken. Als ich vor einem Jahr wieder mit dem Stricken begonnen habe, hatte ich überhaupt kein Verhältnis zum Tücher stricken. I dachte immer: Warum sind so viele Strickerinnen so angetan von Tüchern. Schultertücher sind doch was für ältere Damen :-) Aber mit der Zeit habe ich immer mehr handgestrickte Tücher gesehen, wundervolles Lacegarn zwischen meinen Fingern gefühlt und so begann sich meine Meinung zu ändern. Und nun bin ich selbst eine "ältere Dame". Einen Tag vor meiner Abreise habe ich bei Beate im Wollknäuel ein neues Lacegarn gesehen. Filigran von Zitron. Wunderschöne Farben und gaanz weich - es endete in einem drei-Strang-Kauf. Mit der türkisen Färbung möchte ich einen neuen Haruni anschlagen, er wird großartig auf meinem weißen Sommerkleid aussehen.

And for spring I plan to knit a shawl in blue for my casual outfits (jeans and jeansskirt) - because I wasn't able to to walk past the Wollmeise Laceyarn "Blaue Tinte". I found a funny pattern at Ravelry - think I will buy it: Heere Be Dragone Shawl. Some wear their tatoos on the skin, I will wear mine on my shawl ;-)

Und für das Frühjahr plane ich eine Tuch für meine Casual-Outfits (Jeans und Jeansrock) - weil es mir nicht möglich war, am Wollmeise Lacegarn "Blaue Tinte" einfach so vorbeizugehen. Ich habe auch ein lustiges Muster auf Ravelry gefunden - ich werde es wahrscheinlich kaufen: Heere Be Dragone Shawl. Die Einen tragen Ihre Tatoos auf der Haut, ich werde meins auf meinem Tuch tragen ;-)
